I quit using Explorer on one computer because it will suddenly open new windows from spam web sites when I do searches. Never related, of course. I’ve reloaded Explorer, tried repairing it, changed settings, and nothing works. Usually the websites that “pop up” are yellowpages.com or Entrepreneur.com. These aren’t just popups, they are entire new Explorer pages that I did not open. I have blocked them repeatedly, nothing works. Only way around it was to switch to Mozilla, but I really like Explorer better. Any suggestions or help is appreciated!

If you have tried everything that is mentioned in the article below
and if the pop-ups still show up, then use a third party pop-up blocker. I haven’t tried this myself but I happy with Firefox.

use malwarebytes antimalware just use it as as “on demand” scanner so u wont have to pay for it
u can use a few too;s to prevent these types of things from getting in
they will take up no resources just block known malicious sites etc
