The easiest way to do this is to ask yourself some common questions. What information, product or experience do I have that Internet surfers would be interested in?

If you have a lot of knowledge about travel, ask yourself what specific knowledge you have that would be valuable to other travelers. Can you market this knowledge is a new way or a new format that would be interesting for readers?

Once you have discovered a niche you will want to determine how best you can reach them. You can brainstorm ideas by looking at trade magazines, talking to people in the niche you would like to reach and by surfing the Internet yourself to determine where the ‘holes’ in information exist.

For example, if you are interested in travel and there is a dearth of websites that address tips and advice on traveling with children, you may want to address that deficiency. This would be especially profitable if you used Google analytics, or another search engine that monitors what people search for, and discovered that people had search terms that matched your chosen topic.

Successful Internet entrepreneurs are able to provide a service or product that both interests people and is marketed well.
